The Replacement Truck.

Here's that truck I told you about. I'm thinking about going and getting it for my daughter.

indeed. If they only want 2 grand for it, I could have bought a plane ticket, flew out, and drove back, and still come out ahead. Maybe.
Ah well.
Discovered that my tcc likes to do the dance.... even tiny variations in throttle position will cause it to bounce out of/back in to lockup. Probably going to order up a throttle position sensor, and see if that solves the issue. (I may log some data, and see what tps is doing.... don't think my software can read tcc request or not.)

The thought never occurred to me that they could possibly be that cheap anywhere....... Next time around, I will send you a list of what I am looking for, and see if you can find one for me. It'd be fun to fly out to the left coast.

I'm a lot closer to SeaTac being in Everett and I look for diesel trucks out here all the time on the web. Good thing about NW is they're clean and there's good inventory. Bad thing is they are the highest priced trucks in the country. That Blue V10 for $2k is way too low. Usually 1500s are still $5-6k. CTD are $25k+

I am REALLY likin' it. It runs GREAT, drives decent, but, the trans 'gear hunts' quite a bit, especially once warmed up. Hoping new TPS will solve that.
I have a buncha parts on order, which will hopefully be here by this weekend, as it is supposed to be in the 50's this weekend, (friggin' heatwave for February in Michigan.....) and I want to just sort of 'shotgun' the repairs I have in mind. Headlights, heavy duty harness, TPS, battery hold down, thermostat..... Should keep me busy.
I heard rumors of two different ratio steering boxes on these trucks. Any truth to that? The current box, while relatively new, is WAY to leisurely for my tastes. I would like a bit more responsive/tight steering box.
