Default How much should it cost?

i need to length my rear driveshaft roughly about 3.5 inches what should that cost to lengeth and balance....and how hard is it to do yourself if possible?

Shortening is one thing, to legnthen its quite a bit harder just because you have to find a pipe thats the same OD as the one you have.

I would mesure yours then go to a junk yard and get one thats either the right size if your lucky, or needs to be shortened a bit.

When you do it use a chop saw or band saw so you can get it as close to being square as possible. If its not squae its gonna shake going down the road.

We've done some that don't shake at all even up to 80mph, and others that the truck couldn't go over 40 because of the shaking.

Just make sure its square when you weld it and your usually good.
