Default Newbie to dodge help me with my desicion

Hey Ya'll, Im looking at a 2001 1500 off road edition with 35 thousand miles on it. Im considering purchasing it. Im getting a really good deal since it just got traded at my work. But ive never owned a dodge before. Is there anything i hsould look for? Last week my dad bought a 99 1500 sport with 34 thousand miles on it from my work as well. His is a 318 whereas the one im looking at is a 360. I read the FAQ, but if theres anything else please feel free to elighten me. Thanks in advance!

great truck. comes lifted 2 inches from the factory with 4.10 gears....if your getting a good deal on it, and you want it, and you can afford it, it'll be a great truck for you my friend...if that's what your looking for of course.

Put it this way; Here in Vermont 4 wheel drive vehicles are expensive. I bought my 2001 Ram QC Offroad about 3 months ago with 66,000 miles on it and I paid $12,000 for it in a heart beat because it was 2 grand under book for my area. Its a sweet rig minus the plenum leak and the clogged cat, which I almost have the parts to fix both for about 200 bucks. So if your getting the same truck with half the mileage a thousand dollars less than I paid, I would say go for it!

I have a 98 Sport 4X4 with the 360 and you can get good HWY mileage out of them with a few mods. I'm a Ford man myself with Dodge running neck and neck; minecost me$8500 with the 6" lift 3" body lift amp, stereo system, tires .etc already on it. It had 70K miles on it and I bought it Feb 2007.

Sounds like a good deal to me. When I bought my pickup, it had right around 30k on the odometer.
