You should have 2 in each fender, left and right. Follow the wiring to around where the tires fit. My brother in law was in an accident and the air bags did not worked also.

How bad was the crash? You really have to crush some of that metal to reach the sensors. They arent designed to be used in weak impacts.

It's pretty severe...

I need to find the sensors to see if they have been hit...

You generally have to hit something very solid dead on to deploy air bags.
You have to decell very fast and pretty much stop dead. If you roll through the obstacle air bags rarely get set off.
So things like deer or guardrails woun't usuallydo it. Hit a bridge support and now we're talking.
There are 3 sensors. One in each inner fender below the headlight and one in the Air Bag module. I think you need to trip 2 of 3 to deploy the bag on the Ram
A defective crash sensor almost always turns on the air bag light.

I was just involved in a wreck where my '02 Cavalier was totaled. I impacted the other vehicle and the bags didn't deploy immediately -- or maybe they did. I remember hitting the other vehicle and watching the front start to crumple before I was "blind" due to the airbags blocking my vision. I walked away with a sore neck/shoulders and other pain. I impacted the other vehicle (driver rolled the Stop sign) at 45mph.
