Like it's been said for years, "Looks good on paper" lol.
My thoughts exactly.

I guess the way I see it, I'm not out much other than a little money and time. If it works, great, if not, I just do the standard mod and go from there. Other upgrades are planned for the future like headers, CAI for now (ram air hood later), 1.7 rockers, true dual exhaust, probably head work. It's a driver, it doesn't need tons of power.

Don't bother with the stock heads. They suck, very prone to cracking. For around 600.00 bucks, you can pick up a NEW set of heads, with one-piece valves, that are thicker castings. Much better than stock. Do any work you want on those.

I've heard stock heads crack. You are right, new or aftermarket heads would be much better. I amazes me that someone spent $7000 on the the heads in my friends dad's truck. Not what I would have done. Especially when that's all that was done.

I know. It only cost $450 to have the heads on my Harley milled, ported, polished and I think bigger valves. Those were done by a guy that does racing heads for top fuel dragsters.

Default new kegger

Picked up a kegger, tb, injectors, and fuel rail today for $50. Can't wait to tear into this as soon as her car is back on the road.

Planning on that and smoothing the runners with the sandblaster. Also want to match the tb spacer ports to the rest of it.

Don't bother with the TB spacer. Just leave it off. It doesn't do anything on our trucks anyway.
