it might be cheaper in the long run, but to me it sound like it would be a pain in the a$$ since you gotta have it filled and that it is about 30% less efficent than gasoline

How about the fact that the tank will take up a chunk of space in the bed. It's like having a tool box, I never could figure out why someone needed a tool box in the bed unless they are in construction and have a lot of tools. I know people who have nothing in the box, it,s just for show.....

When I used to have a tool box, it had some tools in it, but mostly it was to put stuff in that I could lock up or keep out of the weather while driving around town. I think that might be why some people have them, not just for tools. Now I have a tonneau instead, and it does the job even better.

a few years ago I spent a few hours searching online for junk yards with CNG Dodge Vans in stock, and generally found that a lot of Canadian junk yards had Propane converted Dodge Ram pickups and Vans in their inventory

I have just picked up a 95 v-10 with the dual fuel. I am just getting ready to hook up the system as it was missing the tank. I think it was a state vehicle and they do that.

Well I love threads like this where it seems everyone has a say haha. My 02 Ram runs on propane and I absolutely love it! It actually has more power because nowadays the kits plug right into your ecu and the installer sets the output. That and the fact it way higher octane. I only lost about 1 mpg but the cost and power difference is worth it. It can run off gas still as well, and switching on the fly is easy as pushing a button, and you cant even feel a stall when it does. Now I have over a 1000 mile range between propane and gas. It's cheap where I live at around $2.10 a gallon. It's much cheaper than BBQ propane because if you go to a propane sales location it's cheaper in bigger quantities. Also the government right now is offering $2500 tax refund on people who convert. I figure I am saving about 300-400 dollars a month. As far as safety I think all the crappy gas tanks made out of weird plastics on vehicles these days are more dangerous. The company who makes these kits have shot 30-06s at tanks with no piercing or adverse effects whatsoever to prove a point lol.
