RE: 3/4 ton springs in a 1/2 ton
I put 3500 4x4 Diesel springs in my stock 1/2 ton and it gave me 3 1/4 inches of lift in the front. The ride is a little more harsh, but hey, its a truck, not a lexus! ha ha. I needed a coil spring compressor to get the heavier springs in. They fit perfect in the 1/2 ton mounting locations though. The diesel or v10 springs will give you more lift than than the v8 springs. Hope that helps you any!

I dont have any additional spacers or anything, but my control arms are almost maxed out. Alignment was able to get into the near perfect range and it seems to be holding ok even with some off roading. Haven't really noticed any bump steer or anything. I got the springs on ebay for 28 bucks. All I did was remove the shocks, drop the axle and the stock coils fell out. slightly compressed the new coils and they fell right into place. Had her aligned and been driving for over a year with no problems. Overall it was prettyeasy, only took an hour.

I've got 2500 springs n mine out front with 2500 parts 3 shocks.
Out back,.. A helper-Spring (One extra leaf) and a set of 2" blocks.
It's great for hauling heavy loads. The back doesn't drop a all it seems.
But the ride,.. I've never drove anything that ride as stiff as this truck with
what"s on there. As I said, great for haulin stuff. Great for my plow set up
in the winter. But the ride is horrible.
