Default Gear oils for transmission and axles

I haven't owned a 4x4 before so I don't know the normal weight of oil to add. I was assuming 90w gear oil to the axles and transmission, but I read in the service manual there is genuine mopar stuff that can be had. I dont have a lot of $$ to be spending on this truck (its no piece of art haha), so I was hoping there was a substitution. Anyone know of something?

GM synchromesh is equivalent. I think castrol makes some equivalent.
