Take the belt off, and spin things by hand. Bad bearings will feel crunchy.

Default Water pump

After replacing the idler pulley "which quietened the belt noise quiet a bit" I was still hearing a light chirping noise, so I swapped belts with an older one hoping this would help. While doing so, I noticed the water pump pulley and fan assembly had a wobble in them. Everything I had read indicated this was caused by the water pump bearing or bearings being defective. I reluctantly replaced my water pump "which took me about 6 hours or so" and so far there are no unusual noises coming from under the hood. While inspecting the old water pump, I noticed because of the bad bearing/bearings the impeller had been rubbing against the water pump housing which was making a grinding noise. I hope this info helps others with a similar problem or noise. Good luck!
