Default got a couple ?s

1. when i get on the gas i hear a sucking noise is this the infamous leaking plenum gasket cause i know the k&n filter aint that loud.
2.when i hit a bump on the passenger side i can hear a little clunk or something could this be control arm bushings it has new balljoints.
3. how does a 3" lift work when the truck comes stock with 3" blocks on the back? the guy at rough country told me it was just springs and blocks.

1. i doubt you can hear a plenum leak. its pretty deep inside a noisey engine. more likely your noise is TB gasket or air cleaner gasket.

2. retorque lower shock bolt to 100+ pounds. it has to be real damn tight.

3. on rear, its either all springs to lift 3" or maybe you stack another 1.5-2in block plus another couple of inches in springs.

i just put a new air cleaner gasket on so i guess ill try the tb gasket. is it safe to stack blocks like that? could i do the 3" coils on top of my 2" spacers and put 3" lift packs on the back? i want to keep it as level as possible.

3. Look for a kit that is 3" spring for the front, and an AAL for the rear. If a kit comes with a block for the rear, it should be a single block that is big enough to replace the stock block, plus give you some lift. Do not stack blocks.

If you just put an air cleaner gasket in then I wonder if your airbox is fully seated to your
throttle body. Check to see if the back of the airbox is tight.

Regarding the first question. Where do you hear the noise? Is it all the time? Under what conditions? make sure you reconnected the crank case hose to the filter box/intake.

i can only hear the noise while im on the gas. i checked the hose its fine and the filter box is on there tight. you cant really hear it unless your in the truck but from inside it sounds like right about where the tb is.
