Thanks for all your replies.

This is not a wiring issue or a radio issue. I have a signal right up to the speaker. I just put in a new speaker at it works instantly, without doing anything else. I have only replaced one speaker so far and a used an identical stock speaker from a wrecker. It too failed shortly after.

Good thought about the humidity/temperature changes doing the speaker in. I live on Vancouver Island where the humidity can be very high. Seeing how many others are having problems, I have to assume these speakers are crap.

I have the downloaded manual from this site and used the factory tests on the wiriing. I have no continuity to my left side, but don't have the right tool(s) to remove the door panel clips to test the speaker. I don't believe the factory speakers were made to last more than the average original ownership lifespan .

Default front tweeters not working

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 and after I bought the wiring harness adapter and installed an aftermarket stereo the front tweeters stopped working! I test them and they are still good. Any ideas why this happened or how to fix it?!

Do you get sound out of the rest of the speakers in front?

I wonder if the adapter harness had the hookups for the separate tweeters.

I thought the tweeters where only with the Infinity system.
Infinity system has amps on the front speakers (not in the head unit)... the amp on the speaker drives the tweeter, so the head unit harness adapter has nothing to do with the tweeter working or not.

If you replaced the door speakers with other than a factory infinity speaker, the tweeters need to be wired back in by bridging terminals on the harness connector in the door.
