Hey I got a quick question I was under my truck looking to tighten the lower shock mount bolts and to my amazement they are in a pretty hard spot to get wrenches and tools into. Any secrets to getting to those bolts/nuts. I am going to be changing them soon and any help would save me some cussing.
Fairly long extensions is about the only way if I remeber correctly. I think you can get a wrench on one side, but the other requires a socket/extension.
my 01 has a bolt head on one side, and a "flag nut" on the other. the flag nut holds itself in place and you just torque the crap out of the bolt head.
i didn't think it was hard to get to. socket on extension, with big pull bar...
When I did mine, it wasn't that hard to get to, but I did remove the wheel to get to everything. Socket extension would work too if you don't want to mess with removing the wheel. All I had was an impact gun with a deep socket when I did it.

socket and extension pull bar or impact then take the 3 nuts off the top from under the hook and pull shock tower and all out. swap the shock and repeat in reverse
Although mine has those flag washers as well, when they strip out it makes even worse as there is not much room to get a socket/wrench on whats left of the nut. Damn the northern Michigan salt anyway.
