Default Removing heater hoses - A/C Evaporator

I'm in the middle of replacing my A/C evaporator and Heater Core, i'm at the point were i need to remove the heater hoses. Do I need to drain the antifreeze/coolant? I don't see this step in the instructions?

Thanks
