Yes. Those door-switches are notorious for going bad.
Heck, I bought a new one and it didn't even last a month.

I looked in the fuse box. Nothing to the upper right.
There's a long cylinder to the upper left that's burning hot with the ignition on...

My passenger door switch is stuck closed- it's pushed in and doesn't come out when you open the door and the lights don't come on either.

I just went out to my truck and the buzzer is the big round thing on bottom right if you are facing the fuse box. Laramie was probably hanging upside down when he killed it. The spry hunter sneaking up on his prey.

The switch being crushed on one door will not affect it's function. If you turn on your lights with no key in ignition it will buzz, if you leave the key in the ignition and open the door it will buzz.

The round thing on the bottom right on mine is the turn signal flasher. And the one above it is the hazard flasher...
umm.. weird.

No, I wasn't hanging down when I killed mine. Mine is up top. I will take a pic of it in the morning and upload it here. I can tell that our 1997 trucks were built at different times throughout the year. Mine was made in March of 1997. That may explain where the differences are coming from.

To the OP, I apologize, I gave you the wrong info. I went out and looked at mine, and took pics.
