That's probably where the buzzer goes plugged in. It looks about the right size. Previous owner got tired of hearing it and took it out.

2001 Durango....My power locks key fob wouldnt work on all the doors somtimes locking or un locking different doors so I pulled the harness out of the door lock boxes and all i have now is the rear hatch,doesnt bother me a bit to unlock/lock old school but my wife hates it....somehow now all my chime warnings are gone.....I miss the one for the headights but havent left them on yet....

Agreed 1000000%! I hate that thing so I took the fuse out. It only buzzes when the door is open now. I didn't like the buzzing when I turned the ignition on.

Sometimes, certain systems wont work without the buzzer in the circuit.
What I do is to pry the buzzer open, remove the thin metal disk (diaphragm) that's over the coil and put it back together.
This way the buzzer is still there, but makes no noise.
