you mean the pb blaster didn't work? thats a big surprise.
no you didn't. you used a lubricant.
pb blaster penetrates about as good as motor oil.
the tension and smacking with hammer should do the trick. and one thing that would help would be to get a penetrating fluid like CRC Knock'er Loose, Cyclo Breakaway or AeroKroil.
if you spray one of those on and go get some lunch then when you get back the pitman arm will be laying on the ground (maybe a bit of an exaggeration but they work quite well).

PB blaster is a gift from the gods, I have use it with more success than any other penetrating oil I have ever used. At work and on my personal stuff including an almost 30 year old jeep to break bolts that have not been out since the thing was built.
