This might sound like a stupid question, but if I have a small oil leak:
1. Oil glaze on the tranny pan.
2. Oil pressure sometimes dips below 40 then slowly climbs to 60 under acceleration over 2.5K RPM.
3. Coming from the back of the engine.
Could this be the culprit?
Sorry for the thread hijak. I think I found what I will be doing next weekend.
Entirely possible. If you are fairly flexible, you should be able to get into a position where you can actually see the sensor. (with the engine OFF please. )
The best way I found was to lay a wide piece of wood from the throttle body to the radiator and lay on it without breaking anything. I was never able to see it. U just kinda gotta go by feel. It's way down there and way in the back. The most inconvenient spot ever.

Try the crank position sensor if you want one that is in an inconvenient spot.
Oh, if it is easier to get to than the CKP then I am golden!!! Flexible socket adapter made that one easy. The truck is to brush the bolts with a wire brush then hit it with penetrant.
