yes sorry rear drive shaft from the trans to the rear diferential.

Got the rear 4 bolts out of the drive shaft but the shaft wont come off the differential. Wondering if i missed something or is the rust holding it up. With the 4 bolts gone the drive shaft should just drop down and thats that.

thx

after you pull the u-bolts out and the caps off, it should just come right out. give it a little upward pressure and it'll pop loose. It's not pressed in or anything.

Sweet I got it out.

The problem was the truck was on a slight hill and the rear axle was putting some pressure on the driveshaft.

I had to block the front wheels and use my floor jack to raise the rear pumpkin.

After the tension was off the driveshaft a sharp wack on the shaft and it fell down.

I was just worried I was missing something when my first couple wacks did nada.

Anyhow thx steve

oh man, hope you didnt wack it too hard, it's balanced... usually if you wiggle it a bit it'll break free... did you get it all back together? Why did you pull it?
