Being as it is lifted, I wouldn't expect more than 8mpg on a good day.

Not many v-10 owners on here, but theres some, they seem to be dependable and have enough power for most, you said it didnt matter if it was a v-10 so I'm guessing not much heavy towing?

You gonna have fun looking for performance parts for that motor, some things are expensive and others are impossible to find, SCT supports the v-10 and a couple people that have it say it opens the motor up alot.

And it sounds like the truck has been taken care of, just make sure that tranny is in good workin order, and if the body is pretty clean I think its a good deal

I get about 12mpg combined on 33s with a light foot. My 8.0l is a strong puller, I use it to pull my horse trailer a lot. As far as ease of working on I find the engine bay to still be very open and allow access to most of the engine with it being a ten cylinder. I can change out the plugs in 30 mins with just the socket and an extension; my Ford Explorer takes almost 2 hours for the v6 in comparison (no room in that engine bay).

It does sound like a good deal, if the truck has been cared for.
