I would also suggest looking at the FSM and checking the OD switch.

Take it back to the shop that rebuilt it, and have them fix it. If you open it up, you may void any warranty they offer. Give 'em a call, let 'em know what's up.

+1 on what HeyYou said. Take it back, reamin firm. You paid to have it fixed, not to change problems.

This sounds fishy. It has to go THROUGH 3rd to get to OD. You can turn ofgf OD and drive around all day and it should shift 1 - 2 - 3 just fine. OD is really for highway driving - it is 4th gear.

Still and all, you paid him for a rebuild. You got back a trans with problems. He needs to fix it. If he tells you he is too busy, point out that you already paid him, and you would appreciate it if he would actually fix it. If he still wants to blow you off, stop payment on whatever method of payment you used. (if you can.) Until he makes it right.

Sounds like you need to take it back to the guy who replaced it too.... could just be the tv cable , could be something else...what you you mean "NEW" transmission? rebuilt? one from the junkyard?....

sorry bud sounds like it still aint fixed right.... I dont know where you got new transmission from that? he might have just changed the governor presser solenoid and called it a day...theres a lot of things that can wear out or need adjustment.
