Default 1998 dodge ram 5.2 cylinder 8 misfire

hey guys I have a 98 dodge ram 1500 4 wheel drive 5.2 litre I'm having a misfire issue I've changed coil,plugs,wires,cap and rotor. I keep getting a po308 code misfire cylinder 8 I keep hearing about a plenum gasket problem on the intake now do I check that first or move on to injectors and fuel rail I.E clean rail replace injectors. any help will be greatly appreciated thanks

Look down the thote body and look for pool of oil

check the cat it maybe collged up do to a leaky plumen gasket

X2 plenum gasket. What did the #8 plug look like prior to changing them out ? Before replacing an injector try moving it to another cylinder to see if the miss follows ti the new cylinder. You can also check the ohms and the injectors fuel basket for gunk why its removed. Good Luck.

the original plug looked like hell the electrode was melted and I replaced it with champion spark plug what the auto part store said dodge specified for that engine have'nt started the fuel rail work but will see if there is oil in the bottom of the plenum also

If the plug was that bad, might not be necessary to go any further with the fuel rail/injectors. Have you started the engine since changing the plug? Run any better?

its better but still a little skip rerouted the wires properly and po308 still on I clear the code and run the truck it comes back on right away

Other than the miss, how does the truck run? Good Power? Etc.??

Wonder if your plenum hasn't been blown for a while, and the cat is getting clogged.....
