Exclamation Body Work ??? How to replace front fender

How do i replace front fender i know it will be alot cheaper to buy a fender and have it painted and i install it than have a body shop do all the work. i tried to take it off and never cud figure ouut how to get it off. i took out all the bolts holding it on that i could find, but it looks like it is somehow attached to the fenderwell. Kinda like it was pressed together. Heres some pictures it is the little circle lookin things. haha

theres bolts all over the place cant rem exactly but it is a bolt on fender the circles are spot welds do not cut them drill them or grind them out that is completely useless probably have to remove the black plastic inner fenderwell as well.

You can remove the inner and outer fender as an assembly but in order to get the outer one off the inner one you have to drill out all the spot welds.

It would be a lot easier to just get a junkyard inner and outer fender assembly.

Mine was the same way it was 10x worse though. from the PO. But, it is actually very easy to take off just a pain to put on. There should be 5 or 6 bolts by the radiator then the ones on top were the hood closes. Then you have to take off the black fenderwell lining. Heres a link it took me like 2 hours from start to finish. Just make sure its lined up properly...

I just went through this. My fender was too rusted to fix so I got one off of e-bay for $114 delivered. When I took my old one off I realized I had to swap the wheel well. I can't find it now but there is a vid on you tube that shows this. He drilled all of the spot welds and, like me, the guy didn't have a welder so he used self drilling tek screews in each hole. It was a pain to take it off and all but not real bad.
Good luck. Dan.

There's like 6 bolts holding to the core support and another 5 or 6 across the top. If you lay on your back behind the wheel and push the black inner fender towards the front of the truck you'll see you're bolt you can't find lol. Took me awhile to find it too.

Been there lol. If drill the spot welds out go buy a spot weld remover. They make a world of difference.

There's also a bolt at the bottom of the fender.

Best thing to do is go to your local paint supply store and have them scan the paint on the door and mix it from that.
