Default Buzzing sound under the hood when accelerating

First of all, this is much more noticeable when its cold, first started in the morning, and it only really happens when you accelerate hard. if your just gently accelerating it doesn't really happen.

Sounds kind of like power steering whine, but louder and more metalic....cant really describe it any better than that.

Only happens from about 10-40KMH (First gear)

EDIT: I recently had the Catalytic replaced, and it seemed to start to happen after that....could it be exhaust rubbing somewhere?

EDIT#2:

- Only happens when initially accellerating, up to about 40-50kmh
- Sounds metalic
- Coming from engine area, drivers side, maybe the wheel area, but I dont think its the wheel.
- Not audible if lightly accelerating, Very audible if accelerating hard

Anyone have any ideas?

could be.. makes sense.. those heat shields can be a little loose, and also- it's a pretty tight area so they could be hitting frame or even the hanger could not have a good weld..

but you said under the hood?
