Default vacuum hose missing??

hey guys, forgot to mention this a few weeks ago, but i seem to have a vacuum hose missing... its on the driver side, on the good ole' kegger.. i could hear the sucking and it was making for a bad idle.. so my mechanic friend told me to just plug it up.. so i did, and the idle went down and the sound hushed.. i don't have a picture right now, but ill try to get one in the morning.. i tried to search for a good closeup of the kegger on google but couldnt find one to edit. just curious to what needs to go to this thing..

There should be a sticker on the radiator support in front of the shroud that shows vacuum hose routing

Probably just a plug. Some manifold have two fittings there, some have three. On mine, the plug had dry rotted, and fallen off. It was just laying there on the intake.

Be sure your brake booster hose, PCV valve, and accessory tree are hooked up to the intake manifold,

If those are good, it's probably a test port. I'm not sure if the CAD line hooks directly to the manifold, or if it comes off the tree, as I don't have 4WD.
