Default No heater/blower and no heated mirrors?

My 99 had been parked for a while. When I left her, all these things worked. But I went to go to work, and found that the blower motor will not come on at all. I pressed the button for the heated mirrors to clear them up, and the little indicator light won't even come on. I pulled the control off, cleaned the connecctors, and re-installed. Still nothing. I then grabbed a spare blower motor and pluged it in. No dice. Plus, now the windshield wipers wont work on anything but wide open (no delay). AAARRRGGGG!! Can someone steer me in the right direction? Mornings are getting cold!!

Not sure on the mirrors, but next to the blower motor there is a resister that goes out and takes the blowermotor with it (or vise versa) and i dare bet thats the issue with that, jus did mine last year, takes forever to defrost with no fan!!

Hey Ramcountryboy, I noticed in your sig you're running 1 ton front coils. Aren't they stiff? How do they ride?

I expected them to make it alot rougher, but to be honest I can't tell any difference in the ride. I know they are stiffer because they didnt compress much after installation compared to the 1500 ones. I was expecting 2in of lift but got 3 instead, lol

I don't see any mention of checking all fuses?

Yup, checked the fuses and swapped the relay; however, I have not verified power to the fuses/relay..

redneck_ram,

I'm pretty sure this has been covered before but, since the 4x4's are a bit taller then the 4x2's is there any lift to be gained by switching to stock 4x4 Coil Springs? I'm just looking to level the front of mine, bout 2"-2.5".

Edit: Did some searching (I know right...) it doesn't appear there is anything to be gained by switching to 1500 4x4 springs. Kinda find that hard to believe

Edit: Sorry for the thread jack.

stewie, im unsure about the stock 1500 4x4 springs on a 2wd, but i do have a set if youre interested, and if you did some additional research and find out they do work, id be willing to sell em to ya.

Z, checked the fsm, went out and checked my truck. what are the fuses called cause i couldnt find em. also, the heated mirrors switch turns on the the light beside the switch illuminates, and i hear a click when i push the button. so as far as i can figure its all functional, accept for the mirror heating up. would replacing the mirrors with some towing mirrors, or the like, fix this issue?

been wanting some towing mirrors for a while now, cause i cant see beyond my camper and its kinda annoying while towing.
