[QUOTE2wd springs will all interchange (except maybe the solid front axle springs). You'll get like 3/4" from gas springs and at least 2" lift from V10/diesel springs (the ride will be terrible).][/QUOTE]
so the springs wont matter is it is diesel or not? becuase if they dont i may be looking to buy your springs grox
The only difference in the springs is their weight (thickness of the coils). There are 3 different kinds for the independent front 2wd suspensions, one for each of the GVWRs, which are 6400# (1500 models), 7500# (2500 V8 models), and 8800# (2500 V10 and CTD models).
so if i were to put the 2wd 2500 springs would i need longer shocks or not?
You will not need longer shocks if you change out the springs since the springs are the same length, anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. The lift comes from the lack of sag from the stronger springs. You will need new shocks rated for the heavier springs, but they are a sock shock.
If we work out a deal for the springs I'd be glad to send the shocks along with them.
Not as far as I've found, it definitely is an option for the 4x4 trucks. I could be wrong. At any rate (no pun intended) all that really makes a difference is what GVWR the spring is for. There is a fairly dramatic difference between the 8800# springs and the rest of them.
BTW puns are some of my favorite humor. They take brains to understand
They also can sneak up and surprise you. I've said many funny puns without even realizing it. I always play it off like I had thought of the pun too when people laugh.
