Default How to tell what transmission I have?

Just wondering where I would look to see the type of tranny I have. My truck is a 5spd manual.

NV3500. The NV4500 was not offered in the 1500s, if memory serves, so unless its a custom conversion, its a NV3500.

They are kinda weak for being behind a v-8.... upgrading to NV4500 isn't really a bad plan.

Aside from that, (and it's fine for normal use and not beating the hell out if), the only problem is every one is jealous that you have a stick.

She's only jealous if she's not your girlfriend or wife and you have a "big" stick.

I don't really plan on changing to the 4500 unless something happens to my current transmission. I don't really drive it too hard usually shift at just over 2k rpm.
But yes a standard tranny was a must have for me when I was looking to by a truck. To be honest the only automatic I owned was an 06 GMC Canyon and my wife and I eneded up trading it in on a 2012 Hyundai Tuscon which is also a stick, (it is her car before you get on me about owning an import haha)
