44dakota,
Redneck is just talking crap. He put a new cam in his engine and thinks he rebuilt it. I had my 360 built just about ready to install into my Jeep when I got the deal on this 408. So I've started all over again just about. And as you said I am not going to rush this. I want it right and I'm going to put the best parts I can afford in it. If it take me 4 years to get it done so be it.
To answer your questions I don't know for sure yet on the injectors. Around a 28-32lb units. Ryan from FlyinRyan is going to be doing the tune. He does an awesome job tuning these 408's.

Wow didn't realize it had been just over a year since I had posted anything in this thread.
I don't have much of anything to update yet just wanted to tell everyone where I was at on this project. I didn't get any work done on the engine this year because I thought I was going to be going into the hospital for surgery. But things didn't work out for me so I am now going to be waiting until next June to try and schedule my surgery.
It has taken me a lot longer than I ever thought it would but my new intake will be here Friday. Once it gets here I will take some pictures to show everyone what it is and what it looks like. So don't give up on me yet as I am still plodding along.

Thanks Jolly,
I am hoping I can get the engine into the machine shop next month. Then I'll wrap it up good for the winter so it don't rust. Then come spring I'll get the engine together and installed into my Jeep before I go in for surgery. I won't be able to work on the Jeep for a while after surgery.

HeyYou,
Yes the intake is going to be going on the 408 I am building for the Jeep.
I got this intake from F&B Performance Engineered Products. I had contacted them last year and was talking to them about the intakes when Bruce told me he had a used intake he would sell me for a discount. And then when he found out I was a disabled vet I got even more of a discount. A new unit cost $2678 but I got mine for a lot less. They have been great to work with and I can't say enough good things about them.
Now for the sad part, Bruce told me that they are no longer able to get a hold of these intake manifolds. So my intake may be the last one they ever produce. So that really sucks. All our stock sensors bolt up to this intake so you don't have to go out and try to find other brands of types of sensors to make this work.
Ryan says it can be a little work to get it tuned right but that it makes for a nice power band when it is all said and done.
