So I am driving home lastnight and turn down my street...idleing down the road at 25mph and the motor starts running really bad. I pull into my driveway and park and there is a bad smell. The engine has a consistent miss at all RPM but there is no CEL on. So this morning I check my wires and pull my plugs. The number one plug looks a little wet. So I run a compression check. 1-0, 2-155, 3-165, 4-165, 5-160, 6-155, 7-155, 8-145. Well no compression on #1. So I pump 3 squerts of oil into the cylinder and test again. Now I have 90 lbs. That is not good. So I am thinking rings. So I test it again. Now I have 0 lbs again. Again 3 squerts of oil in the cylinder and 0 lbs again. Now I am like WTF? maybe a broken valve spring. Pull the valve cover. Nope springs look good. So I put a straw in the spark plug hole and have the girlfriend crank it over. Piston is not moving! So I pull the oil pan. In the pan I find this.
Truck was running GREAT until lastnite. Now I am looking for a short block. Does anyone have any recomendations??? I live in Las Vegas. Thinking I can swap it in a day.
Thanks in advance.

Well the new motor is in and running. I didnt really get a chance to drive it much but it seems to be running good. Looked like the timing chain on the old motor was due for replacement. Had a ton of carbon in the head exhaust ports and on the pistons. I seafoamed the truck about 1 1/2 months ago so I am wondering how well the seafoam works if at all. The milage was 109000.
