Few questions
I am going to get a 1truck
Dodge Ram 1500 SLT short bed 5.9 V8
140,000miles
auto tranny was rebuilt already
there is oil on two spark plugs
would that be the piston ring or the valve guide?
there is also squeaking noise that comes from the left front
while driving straight
would that be the control arm or the ball joint?
if the the tires wear out on the outside of the wheel
does it just need to me aligned correctly?
i need answers asap

RE: Few questions
Do a compression check on the engine if the owner lets you. Oil the on spark plug could be valve seals or worn piston ring. I pulled my spark plugs a few months ago and the back two had a small amount of oil on it. A compression check came out ok. Not much I can tell you there. Good luck

RE: Few questions
yea i would do what zeeks saids. I would also guess that yours is a 4x4. if it wearing on the outside of the tires. I believe that means theres to much tow in. it might not be, my minds fried right now, worked way too hard today. I would take it to an alignement shop and have them give you an estiment.

RE: Few questions
If your tires are wearing on the outside, assuming its on both sides of the tires, it means they're under-flated.
You could do a compression test (you can go to Autozone and they can let you barrow the kit I think), but thats probably not the reason. If the compression is screwed up the truck would run like crap, if at all. And with compression problems, the engines basicaly shot, so its probably not that.
