Default No Bus and dead, until....

So long story short, truck dies and gives no bus pulling out of driveway to go to work. pull truck out of road and go to work with Wife's car. that night got home, plugged in my Bluetooth ODBII scanner, wiggle some wires and truck fires right up. Didn't have time to look at ti then so its been sitting until today.

Today, go to start it up to get it in the garage and same thing: no start, no bus. plugged in code scanner again and noticed the fuel gauge popped up, turned the key and fired right up. as soon as I pull the code scanner she dies.

So....anyone had this happen? I'm guess either a bad ground or a bad power connection. Can anyone tell me where this might indicate I need to look?

You checked your plugs on the PCM?
If not, pull 'em, clean 'em, reseat them as well as you can. Then see what happens.

Found it. Ground at PS pump was loose. Fixed my alternator over voltage problem and the dead computer. And best of all, it was a free fix!
