Big valve heads, port work, port work on manifold, and a fairly mean cam, and you should at least get close. Of course, it is going to have a lumpy idle, and won't be worth squat to tow/haul anything.

how is it cheaper to beef up a 9.25 just torch the perches off a 60 an burn 2.5" ones on a 1hr procedure and perches are $50 for a set

It's only cheaper if a guy has the tools and space to be able to do that.

I'll most likely end up building up a 9.25. i wont be towing anything with this truck. i dont tow anything right now anyway, the most I'll haul with this truck is an ATV. i got my eye on the Detroit truetrac. opinions? i haven't heard anything but good things about that carrier.

Ford 9" would be the way I would go for a track truck. True trac are good for the road but not the track, Detroit locker or spool.
