Angry 2001 Dodge Ram

Okay I have asked a few questions before and got positive results. Here's a real mind twister for you: I recently replaced the clutch in my truck and didn't know which side the Crankshaft position sensor was on so I didn't pull the right one. After I realized this I replaced it and it fired up with no problem. Then my clutch safety switch went bad just put it in. Truck still won't start and acts like I'm not depressing the clutch. Any suggestions or ideas?

Have you replaced it again? That's what I'd do. Unless it's Mopar or SMP, these trucks don't like 'em.

Before replacing anything else, check for pinched or cut wires. At the safety switch and for the starter itself. Check battery connections. Is the battery fully charged? Eliminate the free things before throwing (more) parts at it.

EDIT: Will it pop start? Is the safety switch adjustable at all? If so, try adjusting it a bit.

I read my haynes manual that I need to go ahead and get a code reader on it now because if you don't it will start the first time but after that the computers going to still read the original error codes and then you're not going to be able to actually start the truck at all until you delete the codes i will update when that's done

Reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for five minutes..... clears all the codes.
