Default transmission parts swap

So, im having problems with my 96 (5.9) ram transmission. It doesn't like to upshift and after researching, it appears either to be the transmission belt or the soleonoids. I have a scrap 98 Dakota (5.2) with a perfectly intact transmission. Would I be able to pull the parts from it, and put it in my ram. On sticker under the hood of the ram and in the glove box of the dakota, by transmission it has the same 3 letters, but I wanted to double check before I attempt this feat of mechanicary that I have never attempted in my life. Tanks in advandced.

There is no belt in the transmission. Need to find out why it is not shifting, If both are 46RE transmissions, they will swap out. How is fluid? How long since filter changed? What upshift does it not like?

I dont know why I said belt. I was talking to someone about an alternator swap and my mouth and hands got mixed up. It doesn't like to upshift past second after it is warmed up, and in town it isn't too fond of going to second either. on cooler days and on rainy days, when it tends to be cooler, it will shift just fine, so I think it has something to do with temperature.

I will definitaly check out that link and see what it says.

Another thing worth mentioning is that if I attempt to go full throttle, the transmission leaves gear and goes to neutral, which makes me look like a dick on the road blaring his pipes and then slowing down.

I don't know how to do that. Im not the most mechanically inclined. I can do minor maintenance. I also don't have the truck right now. I dropped the driveline and am waiting for a new yoke.
