ON the emissions label under the hood, should say cali,or fed emissions.

Wire colors I got for front O2: (from the manual)
Dark Green/White
Brown/White
Black/Light Blue
Tan/White <- this one indicates upstream O2.

First three are the same.
Orange/Black <- this one is post cat.

Cali emission connectors are square-ish..... fed emissions are round. You have a fed emission truck, so, prolly wrong O2 sensor.

there are 2 shapes for the O2 sensors - round and square. i looked at every internet site i could find before ordering one, and it still turned out to be the wrong one. i don't remember which shape my 01 is.

single exhaust federal emissions for 01 (with Y pipe) had one precat and one post cat.

That must be it. Im going to try the NTK 23506, it appears to have the right connection, or so the pics look like.

Went to Canadian tire to get the sensor, ughh that was a waste of time. Asked for an NTK 23506, he told me it didnt exist. So I asked for what theyre computer said was the proper sensor. Wrong sensor, had the square end on it. I showed him the pic of my connection but I dont think it registered that was circular instead of square lol. Oh well off to NAPA tomorrow.

I would normally order from Rock Auto but I wanna be sure I get the right part, and shipping back if it seems like a pain to me if it isn't. Besides gives me something to do in my boring days...

did you ask if they can get it. i know usually if you order something by 11am it will be there by 5pm or at least that is the way it works here.

you know you can usually check to see if they have what you need in stock on there website. you just have to try tracking the stuff down.
