Upper/Lower Control arms,...
Ok, I have been searching and can not find anything that answers my question.
Are the upper and lower front control arms on a 2001 1500 4X4 different or the same as on a 2500 & 3500?
If they are the same dimensions, are the factory 2500/3500 arms any stronger than the factory 1500 arms?
The real question is, can I swap from factory 1500 arms to factory 2500/3500 arms for an upgrade in strength and durability?
Thank you for your input.

Edit: Yep the 2500 parts are bigger. For those doing a lift on a 1500 this might be the cheap way to go.
Edit 2: I am not too sure if that is a 1500 upper or lower so I removed the numbers from the post. The 2500 lower is 18.5" c to c

Ok, back to Plan A,....
Well, if the 2500/3500 control arms won't swap then I am going to get the old Lincoln Arc welder from my Dad, that is sitting in the corner with 10 years of dust on it, teach myself to weld, and weld a plate across the bottom and wrap it around the ends to strengthen the arms. I figure that is much cheaper than buying new arms from one of the aftermarket supplies and will probably be good enough for my level of off road adventure. I will put in new poly bushings to go with the Skyjacker 2" leveling coils and matching shocks. Thanks for everyone's input.

I use these control arms, which have greaseable poly bushings:
