Default No power to start, help!!!

I have a 2000 Ram 1500 with the 5.9. It would die when I try to start it immediately. Battery checked and it was bad and the terminal connectors were in bad shape. Got a new battery and connectors. Truck still has complete loss of power when attempting to start. All lights and accessories are fine until you attempt to turn the engine over. Truck will start with a secondary system linked(another vehicle jumped via cables). I'm at a loss of what is causing this issue. Please help!

Make sure your new battery has a full charge, otherwise you'll have problems.

Battery is fine. Figured it out. 3 wires running from the negative terminal on the battery. One to the computer, one to the body and one to the engine. Disconnected the one to the engine and now it starts right up and runs fine.
