Default programmer

I have a 2000 ram 1500 sport with the 5.9 I want a programmer that I can use for econ and when needed extra performance what do you suggest and should I do any other modifications

Replace your spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, as well as your plenum, timing set, cat and O2 sensor if none of that has been done. Then you can think about a tuner.

Been done I want to use this truck as more of a mud toy

Economy and mud toy don't exist together.
Sorry. lol

SCT is the best there is, but they're currently MIA awaiting the x3 version to come out.

I understand what your saying about not existing together I want to keep the option open to use my truck as a daily driver if I need but want to use it to play

Your best bet would be to get into engine mods. You might build up a junkyard 360 for performance, tune it. Then just go easy on the loud pedal when you take it on the street.

SCT or SuperChips tuner. Without knowing what the new SCT is capable of changing, as of now the SuperChips also does speedo correction for larger tires.
