23140 looks like the right sensor, but your link to NGK states manual trans.....its an automatic.

Don't think it matters. Not like the O2 sensor cares... so long as the connector is correct, should be golden.

Well I'm as confused as this truck is.....New downstream in, cleared cel, and now its throwing P0132? P0037 was only code on(broken white wire at O2) before new downstream. Cleared the cel again and P0132 again.

Why would I not get the voltage code after I replaced the upstream on Sunday? Replace the downstream today and I get the voltage code from the upstream? Wires look fine and never had that code till today????

It was running fine, but it probably wont now. Did I say before, I hate electrical.

Right there with ya on that one man.

What brand O2 sensor ya got? Seems that it isn't uncommon for the bosch sensor to pull that stunt.

Basically, what it is whining about is it is seeing to high of a voltage on the sensor return signal. usually a wiring problem, or shorted sensor. As you sensor is new...... try a warranty swap?

Both are NTK. Its hard to trace the wires from the top of the tranny to engine compartment. But they do go into a wire harness. You would expect that code to come sooner if it actually was a wiring issue(prolly put on 60 miles since the change), not as soon as you plug the rear O2 in.

Something is telling me the 0037 code was gonna be better then the 0132 code. Maybe something else is wrong, as it originally started with the 0138 code, and that one went away with the upstream unplugged. Something is mixing up in the truck, 1 O2 sensor is affecting the other.

Disconnect the rear O2 sensor, clear codes, then see if the 132 comes back.

Here is what I did....I'm freaking done for the day with this gremlin. I went out cleared cel. Started truck and guess what....P0037.

OK...I'm as pissed as confused. Pull negative, unhook plugs on both, inspect plugs, tighten both O2's(a pinch more), plug back in, clear cell. Now it throws P0132 again.

The 02 fuse is fine.

What is reading the feedback from the sensors? The PCM or ECM?

I'm just gonna drive it for a while and then clear the code/s again. See if the voltage levels straighten themselves out. I dont know if it would make a difference, but the pipes after the CAT are short, go to a cherry bomb and then a 45% downturn. Exhaust ends early/mid bed. But I put 5-600 miles before the O2 codes. I did have EVAP codes before but fixed hoses.

Clogged CAT? Still gotta check that plenum fully(visual threw TB). Truck only has 30K in last 7ish years, bet its been sittin a while.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm certain it will be a beast, just gotta get through the sittin too long issues(I hope).

ECM/PCM are the same funny little box on the firewall.

Are the pigtails long enough that you can swap the sensors, and see if the code follows the sensor?
