Default My trucks haunted................

Starting about 6 months ago I began having issues starting my 2001 1500 4x4 5.9 . Sometime when I turn the key it would just crank over and not even try to start, but after about 10-15 minutes I would try it and it starts..........Its happened about 4 times already. After the 2nd time I thought the fuel pump was going bad (153,000 miles) so I put a new one in. A couple weeks later it happened again for the third time.Always the same ,I wait 10-15 mins and it will start.........The fourth time it happened I pulled a plug wire and connected a plug grounding it and no spark, but after waiting 10-15 mins it would start. Now yesterday it shut off while driving. I put it in neutral while coasting and tried to restart it without success. After pulling over I waited 10-15 mins and it started. Its hard to figure out beings its an intermittant problem, but I'm thinking a sensor or relay of some sort beings it resets after about 10-15 mins........Or it could just be haunted................................

no spark - possible culprits.
ASD relay in power box beside battery. swap it with horn.
coil
cam position sensor in bottom of distributor cap.
crank position sensor.
wiring.
pcm

search the threads by cmckenna for "no start". they have very technical and detailed troubleshooting.

I had very similar symtoms after replacing my crank sensor with a NAPA sensor.
Replaced the NAPA sensor with an OEM, and no issues since(2010).
Also Prior to this issue six monthes ago had you had any electrical issues that you might have been trying to track down?

Prior to this I had a problem with truck "bucking" at about 40-45 mph ,but if I turned the overdrive off it would'nt do it.No codes on any of this.......This problem stopped after I changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor.Maybe a bad plug or wire I guess.
