need some help to figure out how can i keep everything from spinning when im removing/replacing the bolts without damaging anything? >should have thought of this

On the crankshaft?

I use air tools, so, a lot less of an issue for me....

You could drop the starter motor, and use a pry bar on the flywheel teeth to prevent the motor from turning..... Or, if the pulley is still on the balancer, use a strap wrench around that. Don't put anything around the balancer though.

well i got her down to water pump & timing cover but when i took it off the 'u shaped gasket' around bottom of timing cover & oil pan it came off with the timing cover (tried to be careful). it didnt 'damage' peice that came off so can i still just RTV that spot a lil extra when replacing? >REALLY dont want to have to drop oil pan & fresh royal purple oil lol >tried to add pics but cant figure it out

Yep, that's the oil pan gasket. You *might* be able to get away with RTV...... worst case, you get to do the oil pan gasket later..... (think you have to raise the engine a bit to get the pan out on a 2wd truck though....)
