If you get really stuck I have one here you can have, I just don't know how long it would take to get there or how much to ship it.
Well I've called just about all the wrecking yards in my area and none want to part with just the backing plate, they all just wanna sell the axle. I found one place that wants 25 for the axle if I pull it.. Might be doing that.

Think I would pay the 25 bucks, take the plate, and leave the rest.......

At least there isn't two feet of snow on the ground there.

Might try these guys as well.

Haha very true. But at least your wheels haven't fallen off!

I'll probably do that tomorrow.

There were like 4 different backing plates to choose from when I searched it. One for 11x2 brakes, then 13x3.5, then 13x2.5 then I think there was another one. Any idea which one?

If you have a half-ton truck, you want the 11x2 plate.

You can call 1-800-926-8254 and give the parts rep the last 8 digits of your truck's VIN when you ask for the backing plate for your year/model truck. This will information allow them to determine the part number needed.

Every time I tried to search that part number it came up part not found, did it on like three sites. I'm on my phone so there's a chance I copied and pasted it wrong or something oh well. But yeah once I did find it I realized it sure does cost a pretty penny for what it is. Figure I'll run to the salvage yard and pull that one off at a steal. Thanks for going to all that trouble.

They are certainly pretty proud of those.... 500 bucks, or more.. for a piece of stamped steel? Really? Or, maybe they are made of some truly strange alloy, hence, the insane cost.....
