Default Hey guys need some info

Okay so I'm looking at buying a 97ram 1500 auto with 360 just need a list of what to check for and the first things I should do to it I'm new with a second gen gas truck

Read the plenum sticky. That is an issue with darn near EVERY v-8 2nd gen dodge.

Aside from that, treat it like any other used car. Inspect it CAREFULLY, take it for a drive. See what ya think.

What is that and it is a 97 5.9 extended cab 146000 miles and he wants 4000 what do y'all think

It better be in PRISTINE condition for that kind of money. I paid half that for my 96 3/4 ton. (in my sig.) It had a few more miles though....

Plenum plate is steel plate on bottom side of the intake manifold. You cannot see it. You can look down the throttle body, and see if there is any oil in there..... but, it's gotta be pretty bad to show up there. (some is normal, comes from PCV system, pooling is NOT normal, and means it's bad.)

Okay so just take the filter off and check for that and I drove it today it was great has one rust spot that is all that is wrong with it
