90 bucks for a timing set? Seriously? I paid less than 50 for mine, and you can get them from jegs, summit, or a host of other places for the same price. Way too much money as far as I am concerned.

I skipped the tensioner. Didn't see the point.

The 1.7 roller rockers are good for an easy 10HP/TQ..... probably one of the best bang for the buck mods going. Combine that with headers, and a tuner, and you will see a noticeable difference in performance. (even more so than just the rockers.) LastRights has a set for sale in the classified section. 300.00 bucks. Direct bolt on installation.

The money you save on the timing set, put towards a good fuel pump (Delphi or Denso)... don't go generic on the fuel pump, you'll regret it later (time & money).

fuel pumps in. now its time to order up the rest.. finally

jegs found me this set here pretty well priced... so the intakes on order here monday and the timing set should be ordered monday also.


also looking into replacing all the sensors just to get it out of the way.
best brands and where to get them?

Go for the 1.7 rockers, from what ive heard you wont regret it! Hopefully ill do it soon as well!

timing gears and chain are universal from all mopar small blocks correct?

well i am going to try to keep my order all on summit now

summits now saying that it wont fit my truck but im assumeing thats just there sites problem.

That seems really strange..... not like chrysler changed anything in there from the introduction of magnum motors, to their demise......
