Default 180 or 195 thermostat

I'm ordering the hughes plenum kit and was going to get a new thermostat. I can't figure out which is better for my 99 2500. I use it light other than plowing in the winter. Any insight on these? Thanks

Easy. If it's a factory tune, go for the factory 195.

If it's tuned for a 180, then go for the 180.

Don't stick a 180 in there if you're on a factory tune. No reason to.

Since it gets pretty cold up there in New England, I'd go with the 195. I run a 180 with a stock tune here in central VA and the motor runs perfectly.

When I ordered my kit a few years back I bought a 180 temp truck ran really rich burned up a lot more fuel cause truck computer thought it was cold i guess? So I put a new 195 in and it's been perfect I wouldn't get a 180 unless you got a tuner
