Default Transmission blues :(

My 46re in my didge 2500 is having some more problems when I put it in reverse it will back up for a couple feet then stop moving like it's in park. I out the truck in neturel it goes forward like it's in gear. I just had my tranny out doing the front pump seal... Someone was telling me they thought it sounded like the torque convertor was the root of this

Any help or ideas?

I would check your shifter linkage first to ensure it is adjusted properly and also make sure that the linkage bushing isn't sloppy/floppy. If so, replace the bushing, then adjust the linkage.

Try searching this forum. I believe this topic has been addressed on a few occasions. If you haven't already, download the service manual for your year truck and it will have that information in there.

K thanks...

Well downloaded it adjusted linkage with my father in the laws help. It did nothing at all when u put it in reverse it still backs up a few feet than stops like your holding the brakes and when in neturel it still moves forward

Could it be a TC or something internal?

Check fluid level.

if it were the T/C, it wouldn't stop backing up.....

Heyyou. Fluid level is spot on. Talked to a couple tranny shop and with
Y problems they both think my pump is either a dud grime the facorty it the thrush rings on the instead are incorrect and cause pressure to bleed into the forward clutch when in reverse it neutral so looks like I'm pulling my transmission again
