Default Slow Start, replaced a ton of parts still doing it

My truck is having a hard time starting and it is driving me nuts. If i turn the key on and wait for a few seconds it will fire up fine. I replaced the fuel pump ( delphi unit), and injectors. I have checked my fuel pressure and it is 53 and holds pretty good, dropped 4 psi in 2 hours. Have replaced the battery, all ground wires, coil, TPS sensor, crank sensor, rotor, cap wires and plugs. I took the evap purge valve off and tried to blow through it and couldnt. I have tried pushing the gas pedal while turning it over( to check iac) and that doesnt help.

I can shut the truck off and then try to start it again and it takes along time to start. I do not think that fuel is my issue.

I have also tried switching relays around, and double checked all of my battery connections, and grounds.

Not really sure what else to do, thinking of replacing wires from battery to starter and battery to pdc, and possibly starter motor.
Truck runs great once started, no CEL, getting 14mpg

Any help?

Truck is a 99' 1500 with 5.9. 165K on it

Hard time starting in what fashion? Long crank time? (How long?) Slow crank?

Cranks for 5-8 seconds, then fires but kind of surges to life. starter doesn't really seem slow. when it does fire exhaust smells like its running rich possibly flooded

Have you thoroughly cleaned your throttle body and all of the sensors attached to it?

Also, has the intake plenum gasket been repaired?

49.2 psi ± 5 psi

You didn't mention the pickup plate in the distributor, which serves as the cam sensor and can cause a long crank time. Also make sure the center of the distributor shaft isn't loose on it's mounting. I've seen distributors that are out of sync a little do this exact same thing.

If you get a strong fuel smell once it starts, you are likely looking at a spark issue.

Definitely make sure the idle port in the t-body is clean and on the tip of the IAC motor.

I cleaned the throttle body and all sensors. It wasn't too dirty. still didn't fix the problem. Im going to get a cam sensor, and hope that solves the problem. I will also check the distributor.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Ok cam sensor replaced, still same problem. distributor shaft has a little play in it but not a lot. I did find i have a missing vacuum line, and i cannot find the other end. It is the white line that goes under the truck. There is a green line and a white line. the green one is hooked up but i cant find the line that connects to the white line. Anyone know what this should be hooked up to?

Green line is just a vent line. Should go down to the vacuum switch on the t-case. White lines is vacuum supply for said switch. Hooks into the bag-o-snakes of vacuum lines on the passenger side of the intake. The plastic lines like to get brittle, and break.....

Does your 4x4 lite work?
