I had a new one made up by these folks - was very happy with it and it works great:

Thanks for the link, but 500+ is too much for this kid. I found a junkyard that says they have one, but they said they need the old one to make sure itll fit. Oh well, itll have to work. The guy said it bucks real hard, that's why the ujoint broke. I guess that qualifies as a miss, but I think it helps identify what could be wrong, cause a miss and a buck are different I think. He wouldn't really specifiy when it started. Well, any ideas on this one?

Or it's bucking because it's missing. Why would this guy be willing to trade this truck if it was an easy fix? But I'm naturally suspicious. I wouldn't trade until I saw it running good after it warmed up, like after three minutes or so.

So I ended up making a deal with the guy. He got ahold of another vehicle so he didn't need mine, but he couldn't afford to pay for tags and title and insurance, so he said If I gave him enough to take care of that, hed sell me the truck. So I got the truck for 300 bucks. I started it up and it ran fine. Burns oil, but I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. I had it running for about 20 minutes and I didn't hear anything. He said once you started driving it would do it, so I have no idea what it could be, and I wont know until I can find a damn driveshaft for it. I got a couple of shops that said they could modifiy a driveshaft and I have another one, so I will get it modified. I just hope the splines for the yoke for an automatic and a manual are the same, because he lost the yoke
