Default Coolant Issues

So I have a 98 Ram 5.2L 1500 4x4 w/ about 225xxx miles on it. About a month ago I resolved my trucks problem of not getting coolant circulated due to a crack in the radiator, and it's been running fine for the past month!!...until last night...It started sucking down all of the coolant I have and it continues to just keep sucking in all the coolant I have until it runs out and then it starts getting hot. Any idea what the cause may be?

Welcome to the forum. Please add some more detail besides "sucking down the coolant". I have no idea what that means other than your truck has a straw in the coolant bottle and is thirsty.

i think he means it's all mysteriously disappearing.

how fast?
are you sure it was full? (it's easy to underfill these trucks)
any leaks under hood or inside the cab?
check the oil for "chocolate milk" color... water in oil.
any excessive white smoke? water in cylinder.

Default Clarification

Well it was that I noticed that it was getting hot when I was driving so when I stopped I checked the coolant reservoir, to find it was empty, so I filled it up. When I started driving again, it continued to get hot and then cooled off (using that straw to suck down all the coolant!XD) and so I filled it again and it continues to do this...

Cracked head or blown head gasket is my guess. How many miles on the engine ?.

Did you fill the radiator up with coolant and not that little overflow bottle thing.

Don't open when hot. That is an unpleasant experience.

Is it burning it off (white smoke from exhaust) or running out on the ground under the truck?
