My plow is a fisher 8' heavy duty plow. It weighs about 850 pounds, and my truck is only a 1500. Granted I have diesel springs in the front to support the weight.
The trans has never given me any issues, even after the swap. I do have a temp gauge. But over never seen anything over 230 while plowing, and that was a heavy wet snow when I saw that temp.
On the long tubes, it wasn't the headers that hit the driveshaft, it was the off road y pipe that they make to use with them. It rubbed the driver shaft a bit, never caused any issues though.
Good luck buddy!

For me, it is the collector that just gets rubbed by the drive shaft under heavier acceleration (actually it's the balance weight that hits)... as above, it hasn't caused an issue... I have engine mount inserts to lessen the torque reaction, and hopefully fix the problem, but haven't got around to fitting them yet.

Knock on wood*
Out of everything that I have had to replace on my truck, my tansmission is completely mint. I just recently bought an auto meter transmision temperature gauge I want to install soon. I'm a Do-it-yourselfer but I think this is something I may have put in to the tranny cooler line into the tranny.
Hmm, what kind of headers are they? They're not all the same I'm sure right? I might just put the headers on and take that baby to have an exhaust shop, have true duals all the way back to an X-pipe in the middle with a set of flowmaster 40s.
Anyone have any input on running cats or not? If I do, I'll probably run Magnaflow's High-Flow cats.

Will the cats have any effect of performance?
Of Course will post videos!! Might be a while as the holiday season is coming and of course these parts aren't cheap.
I'm thinking a 3" exhaust all the way back, I've seen people do 2.5" and 2.25" that just seems too restrictive for me.. or is that better to have to help with scavenging/back pressure?
